Amendments to rules

 SNOOKER DOUBLES LEAGUE Open to all registered players, eight players formed into pairs will form a team, each pair playing two frames, one point being scored for each frame won, a total of eight points to complete a match. All games to be played off handicaps.

SENIOR BILLIARDS Open to any registered player with all games being off the level of scratch Frames of 60 up, Rounds prior to the semi-finals first to 5 frames, Semi-final and Final first to 10 frames

LEAGUE CUP BILLIARDS Open to any player who has never reached The Final of the Senior Billiards or any players who have reached the age of 60 or over.

THE HARRY STONE SNOOKER Open to all registered players except those who have reached the Finals of the Senior Snooker. And Sixteen players who may be deemed as possible seeds for the Senior event. Rounds prior to the Semi-Finals Best of Three Frames. Semi-Finals Best of Five Frames and the Final Best of Seven Frames.

11. CANCELLATION OF MATCHES Cancellation of matches will only be allowed under exceptional circumstances, should a team wish to cancel a match, the following procedure must be taken.                                                                                                                                                                                                               a) in the first instance contact the league secretary for approval.                                                                                                   b) If permission is given, then contact with the opposing team captain for his/her approval, with a suggested date, at the opposing teams discretion, which must be within 21 days of the original fixture.                                                                        c) Then advise the secretary of the date of the re-arranged fixture.                                                                                                d) At least 48 hours notice must be given for cancellations to be considered.                                                                            e) Failing to follow this rule may lead to loss of points.               

Amendment (a)     The rule to play in the second half of the season only if the player has played in the first half of the season be extended to include team knockouts in both Billiards and Snooker i.e. Billiards Team KO .

Amendment (b)     Should a team withdraw from the league, any player from that team should not be allowed to play in a lower division during that season. All the above rule changes were passed at the 2008 Annual General Meeting
